How often is the Ryder Cup?
The Ryder Cup is a golf tournament held every 2 years.
It is a biennial competition between teams consisting of the best golf players from the United States and Europe.
The first Ryder Cup occurred in 1927. It is named after Samuel Ryder, an English businessman and golf lover who donated the trophy.
The hosting venues alternate between the two continents.
The upcoming, 44th edition of the competition will take place in Rome, Italy in 2023. The previous one took place in Wisconsin, USA in 2021. Please note that the planned 2020 edition had to be deferred due to the Covid 19 pandemic.
As of 2021, USA has won the trophy 27 times. On the other hand, Europe has 14 wins.
The Ryder Cup is one the most famous and watched golf competitions in the world.
